We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Tutor to join our team at Wavelength Tuition. The successful candidate will provide high-quality tuition for students at KS3, GCSE, and A-level, delivering both 1-to-1 sessions and/or group classes. Experience in A level Further Maths is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions for students across KS3, GCSE, and A-level in your subject.
- Assess students’ needs and tailor lessons to meet individual learning styles and objectives.
- Develop lesson plans and educational materials that align with the curriculum and enhance student understanding.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Maintain open communication with students and parents to discuss progress and any concerns.
- Stay current with curriculum changes and educational best practices.
- Participate in tutor meetings and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications:
- Relevant undergraduate degree and hold either a Masters level qualification or QTS.
- Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS) or recognised tutoring certification is preferred.
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching at KS3, GCSE, and A-level.
- Strong knowledge of the curriculum and assessment methods for the relevant educational stages.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in planning and delivering lessons.
- Patience and adaptability in addressing diverse learning needs.
- Commitment to promoting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. Core Requirements:
- Understanding of child protection policies and a commitment to safeguarding practices.
- The ability to work in a way that promotes the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
- You hold an Enhanced DBS certificate (“DBS”) and are signed up to the DBS Update Service, or you hold a DBS that is less than one year old and you agree that you will renew your DBS on or before its one year anniversary and you will subsequently sign up to the DBS Update Service, or you are willing to obtain a DBS and sign up to the Update Service prior to starting.
