Overview
Sunny Daze Clinical Services is dedicated to providing quality mental health care to children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Licensed Resident in Counseling in VA to join our growing practice and help clients achieve their mental health goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals facing various challenges.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to identify their needs and develop personalized treatment plans, including diagnoses, and case notes.
- Provide individual sessions utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain and manage an appropriate caseload:
- Full-time: Minimum of 25-30 clients per week, equaling 28 visits weekly.
- Part-time: 15-20 visits weekly.
- Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings.
Skills
- Master’s degree in a behavioral science or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Resident-level candidates (master’s level, pre-licensure) are encouraged to apply.
- Eligible or on track to obtain licensure in a designated field (e.g., LMFT, LPCC, LICSW, LPC, LCSW).
- Experience completing diagnoses, treatment plans, and clinical case notes.
- Experience working with children ages 6 to 12 is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain appropriate boundaries with clients.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and Office applications.
- Comfortable working with a diverse client base.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
