Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks. This role involves driving routes efficiently while ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods. The Delivery Driver will be responsible for loading and unloading products, maintaining accurate delivery records, and providing excellent service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload products at various locations, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing fuel consumption.
- Provide exceptional customer service during each delivery, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures, receipts, and any discrepancies encountered during transport.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation of the delivery vehicle.
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organization of products.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships with clients.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations is preferred.
- Commercial driving experience is a plus, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in courier services is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks as required by the job.
- Proficient in route driving with knowledge of local areas is beneficial.
