The Seasonal Outdoor Pool Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all guests using the hotel’s outdoor pool and recreation areas during the seasonal pool operation period. This position monitors pool activities, enforces safety regulations, responds to emergencies, and provides excellent guest service while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
Wage: $15 an hour
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor all activities within the outdoor pool area to ensure guest safety at all times
- Enforce pool rules, safety guidelines, and hotel policies professionally and consistently
- Respond immediately to emergencies, accidents, injuries, or unsafe behavior
- Perform water rescues and administer CPR, First Aid, and AED assistance when necessary
- Monitor weather conditions and follow severe weather and pool closure procedures when directed
- Maintain continuous visual and auditory awareness of all guests in and around the pool area
- Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or incidents to management immediately
- Complete incident and accident reports accurately and promptly
- Provide exceptional guest service by assisting guests with questions or concerns
- Ensure compliance with health department regulations, hotel standards, and safety procedures
- Communicate with hotel management and outdoor housekeeping staff regarding any safety or guest concerns in the pool area
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Current Lifeguard Certification required.
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required.
- Previous lifeguard or hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong communication and guest service skills
- Ability to remain calm and respond quickly during emergencies
- Dependable, professional, and attentive demeanor required

- Seasonal outdoor pool environment
- Sundays from June 7th - August 23rd
- Exposure to sunlight, high temperatures, humidity, rain, and pool chemicals
- Position is seasonal and based on hotel pool operating dates and business demands
