Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chemical Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining chemical processing equipment, ensuring safety standards are upheld, and supporting continuous process improvements. This role requires technical proficiency, mechanical knowledge, and adherence to safety protocols to maintain efficient and safe production operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate chemical processing equipment with precision, following established procedures and safety standards.
- Measure and monitor chemical quantities using various measuring instruments to ensure accurate formulations.
- Interpret technical drawings, process documents, and manufacturing instructions to facilitate smooth operations.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, perform mechanical assembly tasks, and utilize hand tools and power tools for maintenance or adjustments.
- Manage material handling tasks including manual handling and heavy lifting to support production workflows.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area in compliance with safety standards in production.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and implementing lean manufacturing principles.
- Use warehouse experience to manage inventory levels, stock supplies, and document production activities accurately.
- Support assembly line operations when required, ensuring seamless product flow and quality control.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing or factory environments, with familiarity in chemical processing preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and interpreting technical drawings.
- Experience with forklift operation, warehouse management, or related logistics is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret production documents, technical manuals, and assembly instructions accurately.
- Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments including chemical handling procedures.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement strategies is desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely over extended periods.
- Mechanical assembly skills combined with technical proficiency in operating various manufacturing equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team or independently in a fast-paced setting.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
