Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. Responsibilities
- Operate a range of forklifts including sit-down, Cherry picker, turret, reach trucks, lift trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and manual handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently.
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning tools to ensure accurate order picking and stock control.
- Assist with order picking processes by selecting products precisely according to shipping orders while adhering to safety standards in production.
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper stacking and secure transportation of goods within the warehouse or distribution area.
- Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to maintain optimal operation and safety compliance.
- Follow OSHA guidelines, forklift safety protocols, and warehouse safety standards to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment.
- Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing deliveries with attention to accuracy.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts (including lift trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks), pallet jacks, and barcode scanning devices.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management procedures, and materials handling techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following manual handling protocols.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during inventory tasks.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, forklift safety standards, and warehouse distribution practices.
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or warehouse supervision is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Excellent attention to detail for order picking accuracy and inventory control.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors effectively.
