Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for caregiving, with experience supporting individuals with diverse needs. As a Personal Care Aide, you will deliver essential assistance with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure the safety and well-being of our clients in various settings including assisted living, home health, and long-term care facilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs and reporting any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following proper protocols.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in food preparation areas.
- Support clients during outings or community activities to promote social engagement and independence.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and update care plans as needed in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s personal assistive devices to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance.
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, or nursing home environments.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment for clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work compassionately with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory impairments.
- CPR and First Aid certification are required; additional training in hospice or hospice care is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with resident transfers using appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Join our team as a Personal Care Aide and help us deliver compassionate, respectful care that enhances the quality of life for every individual we serve!
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
