On behalf of a premiere aerospace manufacturer based in Bohemia, NY, Randstad is seeking an accurate Cutter Grinder. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the absolute precision and structural integrity of industrial cutting tools, maximizing machine line efficiency. Responsibilities
Operate specialized cutter grinding equipment to sharpen, profile, and recondition end mills, custom drills, inserts, and reamers according to technical specs.
Set up machinery parameters including selecting exact wheels, securing profiles, and adjusting wheel speeds, depths, and feeds.
Use optical comparators, micrometers, and calipers to measure tools for wear, damage, or design deviation.
Log tooling metrics, grinding parameters, and tracking sheets for traceability compliance.
