Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, handling cash handling and cashiering responsibilities with integrity
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations; assist with bussing tables and resetting stations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders; assist in food preparation when necessary for a seamless service flow
- Demonstrate extensive beverage knowledge including spirits, wine, cocktail preparation, and drink service techniques
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills while providing personalized guest relations
- Support guest needs proactively by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for sales transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle diverse guest interactions
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety standards required for safe service delivery
- Culinary experience or food industry background preferred to enhance menu knowledge and upselling opportunities
- Excellent math skills for accurate bill calculation, cash handling, and processing sales transactions
- Beverage expertise including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail mixing, and drink service techniques
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Nightclub or host/hostess experience is advantageous for managing guest flow during busy hours
- Exceptional communication skills paired with a positive attitude that promotes guest satisfaction and teamwork
