Duties
- Provide comprehensive dental examinations and assessments to patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
- Perform a variety of procedures such as dental restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics with precision and care.
- Utilize dental software system (Open Dental) for accurate medical documentation and record keeping in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct oral surgery procedures and apply aseptic techniques to ensure infection control and patient safety.
- Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and post-operative care to promote long-term dental wellness.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical imaging, and current best practices in general dentistry.
Skills & Qualifications
- DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school with a valid State Dental License (Required).
- 3 years of clinical experience preferred (Not Required).
- Proficiency in dental software platforms such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry, endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics, and oral surgery techniques.
- Excellent understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques within a dental setting.
- Ability to interpret medical records and imaging accurately for effective patient assessment.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards and medical documentation procedures.
- Effective communication skills to explain complex dental terminology clearly to patients of diverse backgrounds.
