Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, a passion for patient-centered care, and the ability to work across diverse medical settings. In this role, you will provide comprehensive healthcare services, perform assessments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions across various specialties such as internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, emergency medicine, and behavioral health.
- Perform procedures including suturing, IV infusion, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal filler injections.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation and medical records management.
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care for remote or underserved populations.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing, medical imaging, sonography, and specimen collection/processing.
- Support patient education initiatives on topics like nutrition, medication management, pain control, and disease prevention.
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification to practice independently within the scope of practice.
- Demonstrated experience in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers preferred.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic or similar platforms; experience with Athenahealth is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology for prescribing medications under DEA regulations.
- Experience working in diverse clinical settings such as hospital medicine, urgent care, outpatient clinics, or nursing homes.
- Skills in performing procedures like suturing, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, and basic life support (BLS).
- Familiarity with CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9/10) for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams providing acute pain management, hospice & palliative medicine, or occupational health services.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care; experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
