JOB SUMMARY
Villa Marin is currently seeking a Part-Time Busser/Runner to join our Culinary Services team. The Busser/Runner supports dining room operations by assisting servers, delivering meals from the kitchen to residents and guests, and maintaining a clean, organized dining environment.
This position helps ensure meals are delivered accurately and promptly while providing friendly, professional service. The Busser/Runner also assists with clearing and resetting tables, completing side work, and supporting dining room opening and closing duties.
SCHEDULE & PAY
- Job Type: Part-time
- Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
- Flexible availability is required
- Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Deliver food promptly and accurately from the kitchen to residents and guests.
- Verify meal orders before delivery to help ensure accuracy.
- Assist dining room servers during meal service.
- Provide friendly, respectful, and professional service to residents and guests.
- Clear dishes, utensils, and glassware from tables.
- Clean and reset tables for the next service.
- Maintain clean and organized dining areas and service stations.
- Refill dining room supplies as needed.
- Complete assigned side work and assist with dining room opening and closing duties.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to support efficient meal service.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
- Assist with special events and community functions as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Tact and courtesy when interacting with residents, guests, and coworkers.
- Ability to read menus and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dining environment.
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, or dining room experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
The selected candidate must also complete applicable pre-employment requirements, including:
- Health assessment requirements regulated by the California Department of Social Services
