We are looking for a reliable full time bank teller that will process transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established bank policies and procedures. The successful candidate will be the “frontline” of our bank and will play a fundamental role in achieving our customer satisfaction and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable completing numerous transactions daily, communicating with different types of customers, and promoting the bank’s products/services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine bank transactions within reasonable time limits and established guidelines (cash checks, accept deposits and loan payments, process withdrawals, etc.)
- Assess customer needs and introduce new products and services
- Make sales referrals, suggest alternate channels and cross-sell products and services
- Go the “extra mile” to build trust relationships, customer loyalty and satisfaction
- Comply with regulatory requirements
- Manage risk in every transaction and detect fraudulent transactions to prevent losses
- Resolve customer issues and provide relevant information
Skills
- Proven working experience in banking, personal banking, retail banking or financial services
- Extensive cash handling experience
- Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash drawers, receipt validators, money counters)
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Customer satisfaction oriented
- Attention to detail and mathematical skills
- Excellent sales skills
Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry over 50 pounds up stairs and/or on uneven floor surfaces
- Reliable transportation to and from home branch or other branches if needed
- If required, must be capable of working outside of normal business hours
Qualifications
- Strong background in banking, financial services, and cash handling
- Proficiency in basic math, financial software, and retail math
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Experience in financial sales, loan origination, and upselling
- Ability to detect and prevent fraud
- Skilled in time management and relationship management
