Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance on a variety of liquor products, including spirits, wines, and beers
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts
- Conduct product demos and tastings when permitted, highlighting features and encouraging sales through upselling techniques
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are well-stocked and organized according to store standards
- Assist with stocking inventory, receiving deliveries, and managing stock levels to ensure product availability
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, store policies, and promotions with clear communication skills
- Promote store specials and upsell complementary items to maximize sales opportunities
- Uphold phone etiquette when handling inquiries or reservations over the phone in a professional manner
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus for leadership roles
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or experience in alcohol retail is advantageous
- Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and inventory management efficiently
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Basic understanding of retail math for sales transactions and inventory counts
- Knowledge of Alcohol types is a plus
- Will require lifting heavy boxes
