We are seeking a professional and organized Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to support our office operations and help create a welcoming experience for patients, clinicians , and visitors.
Position Summary
The Home Health & Hospice Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients, families, referral sources, and visitors. This position provides administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient daily operations while maintaining a compassionate, professional, and patient-centered environment. The receptionist plays a key role in communication, scheduling, record management, and coordination between clinical staff, patients, and community partners.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Schedule appointments and maintain office calendars
- Assist with intake paperwork and administrative documentation
- Maintain patient and office records in an organized and confidential manner
- Perform data entry, filing, scanning, and general clerical duties
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and deliveries
- Prepare packets, forms, reports, and correspondence
- Order and maintain office supplies
- Support clinical and administrative staff as needed
- Ensure the office area remains clean and welcoming
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Qualifications for the position:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous receptionist, administrative assistant, or healthcare/home health office experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Some knowledge with Google Chats and EMR (Kinnser/Wellsky)
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Professional demeanor and compassionate attitude
- Experience in home health or hospice is a plus
- Bilingual skills are a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Frequent use of computers, phones, and office equipment.
- Occasional lifting of office supplies up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment
This position is based in a professional healthcare office supporting home health and hospice services. The receptionist regularly interacts with patients, families, healthcare providers, and community partners and must maintain a welcoming and supportive atmosphere at all times.

Pay: $16.90 - $20.00 per hour
