Assistant Manager / Event Manager (Geist)

The Assistant Manager / Event Manager will drive growth, boost brand awareness, recruit and develop a dynamic team and enhance the guest experience while fostering a positive work culture.
Our Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for a natural leader with strong organizational skills to join our team as an Assistant Manager/ Cafe Manager. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing a diverse team, and fostering a positive, uplifting work place culture. Must be able to handle challenging guests and take direction effectively.
Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional guest service with a guest centric focus.
- Promote a positive and uplifting culture throughout the park.
- Support sales culture, growth, and productivity objectives
- Maintain a healthy and safe environment for guests and team members by adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
- Train new team members and inspire exemplary service and operational excellence.
- Work successfully with leadership, reporting directly to the Assistant General Manager and General Manager, within diverse, entertainment atmosphere.
- Manage guest escalations and maintain brand expectations.
- Maintain proper team member/employer relations, and address any questions promptly, including disciplinary actions, recognition and performance-based standards and policies.
- Open and close the facility on specified weekdays and weekends.
- Works seamlessly with the Team, Leadership and Guests to provide ultimate guest experience, in a fast-paced environment.
- Works under the direct supervision of the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, who will indicate general assignments and duties, limitations and priorities.
- Perform any additional services or duties as requested by Leadership, not outlined in this description, within reason and scope of duty.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/ or equivalent.
- Supervisor level experience, preferably in the entertainment, hospitality, or retail industry.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to inspire and engage a diverse team.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations.
- Relates well to Guests of all ages.
- Great attitude and strong work ethic and integrity.
- Maintain a cheerful, positive attitude with willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- MUST be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
- MUST have reliable transportation to and from work.
Cafe Applicates MUST have:
- ServSafe Management Certification
- Food inventory experience
Event Manager Applicates:
- Experience host parties and events

Pay: Starting at $17-$18 per hour, based on experience

Experience:
- Assistant Management: 1-2 year (Preferred)
- CPR and AED Certified (or willing to obtain with 90-days of initial employment offer).
- Serve Certified (Or willing to obtain with 90-days of initial employment offer).
- Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Office & Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Docs.
