JLR LLC is launching an exciting breakfast and lunch café inside a high-traffic convenience store in the Memphis 38122 area. Our goal is to deliver fresh, made-to-order food with exceptional quality and service while building a brand that can expand to multiple locations.
We're looking for a passionate Breakfast Chef/Kitchen Lead who takes pride in creating great food, leading by example, and helping build a successful concept from the ground up.
Position Overview
As the Breakfast Chef, you'll oversee all kitchen operations during breakfast and lunch service. You'll prepare high-quality meals, help develop efficient kitchen systems, maintain food safety standards, and work closely with ownership to create a consistent customer experience.

Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh breakfast and lunch menu items with consistency and speed
- Create and refine recipes, menu offerings, and kitchen procedures
- Manage food preparation, inventory, and product ordering
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen
- Monitor food quality and minimize waste
- Train and mentor future kitchen staff
- Collaborate with ownership to improve operations and grow the business

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a breakfast chef, lead cook, or kitchen manager
- Strong skills preparing breakfast favorites, sandwiches, burgers, and grilled items
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and leadership abilities
- ServSafe Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
