This person directly supervises the daily operations with a focus on receiving and storage. Duties include shipping, receiving and inventory control establishing and maintaining standards and guidelines of receiving and safety/sanitation. This person will work with management and co-workers to instill and foster the value of the Villanova Mission Statement and the Dining Services Mission Statement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
BASIC POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Demonstrates complete understanding of departmental requirements. Receives and stores food and supplies following proper receiving guidelines using POs. Monitors daily performance of staff. Refuse and return incorrect or damaged items that do not meet our quality standards, making sure they are recorded properly for credits. Communicate to the production manager and culinary team of the shortages. Monitors walk ins to make sure everything is stored at proper temperatures. Responsible for checking cleanliness and temperature controls of all delivery vehicles.
- Assist in ordering food items and supplies in coordination with the menu and the production manager. Label, date, store and rotate all food and beverage items.
- Maintain accurate records for inventory control. This includes all items stored in the warehouse. Participates in department wide inventories.
- Responsible for central services supplies and filling all orders from units advising of shortages and back orders. This includes food and nonfood items that are warehoused.
- Maintains storage areas and loading docks making sure they are clean, sanitary, and free of work hazards. Routinely inspects areas of assigned responsibility and reports all substandard safety/sanitation, security, or equipment conditions to the production manager.
- Supervises and completes daily schedules and work assignments to the receivers and other associates as needed to complete all job tasks.
- Drives Dining Services vehicles as needed
- Perform special assignments and/or other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Specific Job Knowledge:
- Valid Drivers license required.
- Knowledge of weights and measures, knowledge of food specifications.
Minimum Work Experience:

5 years of working in a college/university food service operation or for a restaurant.
Work Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills
- General Computer skills
- Basic Math skills.
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or in groups with general supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Serv Safe certification preferred
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently
- Ability to sit stand for extended periods
- Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds independently
- Ability to use various chemicals

Salary Posting Information:
This position falls within hourly grade 12 and the range is $21.92-27.36/hr. The final salary will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate’s qualifications, department budget availability, market data, and internal equity.
