We are opening a new oral surgery center in Independence, MO this fall, and we are hiring phlebotomists who want to be trained as surgical assistants.
Most phlebotomy jobs are a chair, a tourniquet, and a line of people. This one puts you in an operating room next to an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.
Your first job is IVs. You place them every day. That is the skill we hire you for.
Then we train you onto the surgical team. You learn anesthesia and airway support in an OR setting. No surgical experience required. We teach you.
Patient care only. No sterilizing. No cleaning rooms. Sterile techs handle instruments and turnover.
Monday to Friday. Surgery stops at 3pm. No nights. No weekends.
$20 to $24/hour to start, with an increase once you are trained as a surgical assistant.
We built this center for patients who wait months for surgery they should have had years ago. Most days you will meet them.
