Drywall & Painting Technician – Experienced (Full-Time)

Skinner General Contracting & Restoration is seeking a skilled and reliable Drywall & Painting Technician to join our growing in-house team. We are looking for a professional with strong experience in drywall repair and interior painting who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
Position Overview:
This role requires hands-on experience in drywall repair ranging from small patches to larger repairs (up to 5 sheets), as well as professional interior painting. The ideal candidate understands proper prep, product selection, and finishing techniques to achieve seamless results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform drywall repairs from minor patches to larger section replacements (up to 5 sheets)
- Match existing textures, including:
- Skip trowel
- Orange peel
- Knockdown
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including patching, sanding, priming, and masking
- Complete interior painting projects ranging from single walls to full interior repaints
- Select and apply appropriate paint products (trim, wall, ceiling coatings, etc.) based on application
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Communicate effectively with team members and management
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in drywall repair and texture matching
- Strong painting experience with knowledge of different paint types and applications
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- High attention to detail and quality
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
Important:
We are seeking a long-term, in-house team member only.
This position is not open to subcontractors or individuals running their own business.
