Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across various hotel areas, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house facilities.
- Handle cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely and effectively to maintain high sanitation standards.
- Conduct floor care activities such as vacuuming, mopping, waxing, and polishing to ensure spotless surfaces.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks related to furniture, linens, supplies, and equipment.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and accurately in case of incidents or safety concerns.
- Maintain safety data sheets (SDS) for all chemicals used and adhere strictly to safety protocols during chemical handling.
- Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay.
- Support hotel housekeeping management in maintaining cleanliness standards and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation regulations and industrial cleaning best practices to uphold hygiene standards.
- Use cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and steam cleaners proficiently for optimal results.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a hotel or industrial cleaning environment is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and chemical handling safety measures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely without injury.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude towards guests and team members.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and hospitality industry standards is a plus.
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) requirements is advantageous.
- Experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or steam cleaners is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
