We offer the region’s most expansive selection of degree, certificate and workplace certification programs at 3 campuses plus 3 convenient CCBC centers along with off-site community locations.Adjunct Teacher Education faculty are needed to teach classes at the Community College of Baltimore County in Child Care Provider/Preparation for Maryland Credentialing. Classes may include in-person during the day, remote synchronously in the evening, and 100% online through CCBC’s learning management system.Adjunct faculty are expected to prepare and deliver instruction, monitor student progress, cooperate with college support staff, and participate in required trainings and meetings. Adjunct Faculty are selected based on the needs of the program, applicant proficiency, course availability, and student enrollment.Interested candidates are encouraged to indicate their availability during the semester and in which modality (in-person, online, etc.) they would like to be considered. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Master’s degree in education-related field required.Five (5) years of teaching experience in licensed childcare and/or pk-5 setting required; college teaching experience preferred. Expert knowledge of Maryland childcare regulations required. Working knowledge of the Maryland childcare credential program preferred.Successful completion of an MSDE/Office of Childcare-approved “train the trainer” session preferred. Proficient working with learning management systems.Proficient computer skills and Microsoft applications knowledge.
