Data Center Site Manager:
The Data Center Site Manager, (DCSM) is responsible for ensuring that all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating at peak efficiency. This involves both planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues.
The DCSM serves as an expert technical resource reporting to the Regional Director and interacting with onsite Engineering Operations Technicians (EOT) and any third-party vendors. They are expected to be a singular focal point for all facility operations within a given data center. Data center equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain better than 99.999% uptime. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, standby diesel generators, switchgear, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems.
Responsibilities:

Empowering a culture of safety, security, compliance, and transparency in all aspect of datacenter activities

Leading and managing a team of high-performing individual contributors at a data center site and their ongoing talent development

Financial administration of site activities and staff members, tracking budgets,paymentsand pay cycles.

Managing and overseeing datacenter site services, resources, and deployment across the data center for the client.

Collaborating and coordinating with multiple internal business groups to ensure the successful delivery of service levels

Analyzing production operations andinitiatecorrective actions to ensure operational stability

Initiate andestablishquality standards for the Datacenter teams and manage those initiatives through to completion

Learn, live, and coach the Salute culture and values. Lead through change and challenge by bringing clarity, generating energy, and delivering success

Operate, monitor,maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems.

Good observation skills and problem-solving ability.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.

Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment

Ability to stand forlong periodsof time in various work environments

Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks

Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quickly

Ability to move quickly and efficiently withing various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.

Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors

Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glasses

Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables

Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow

Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection

Possession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, asrequired
