Job Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for daily clerical duties for the GA warehouse, including inventory movements, aisle checks, spreadsheet maintenance, receiving entry, receiving appointments, and other tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Handles all daily pick tickets, delivery tickets, and manifests and prepares the truck drivers paperwork for on time departure every morning.

Takes appointments for truck delivery times and updates receiving log for all receipts as they arrive.

Handles receiving keying/data entry duties.

Records all inventory movement data in Synergy system (ERP) and makes corrections as needed.

Handles reconciliation of fuel tickets and reports back to manager any discrepancies.

Helps with the routing of truck loads for next day’s deliveries.

Records all movement and accuracy data for forklift drivers in spreadsheets.

Gives feedback to forklift drivers regarding move sheet corrections.

Records monthly shipping and receiving totals by category in spreadsheets.

Creates spreadsheets for inventory purposes as needed.

Maintains managers’ calendars (vacation and transfer calendars) and keeps information up to date.

Sets up all loads to be shipped by common carriers with outside freight companies or couriers.

Ensures all internal/external paperwork meets all DOT regulations and procedures.

Documents any shortage on orders, investigates reasons for occurrence, and informs customer service.

Takes and acts upon all calls for tracing and/or expediting orders.

Communicates with outside LTL carriers & Vendors for scheduling inbound Purchase Orders

Works across business units to ensure adequate levels of service.

Assists in helping to maintain a neat and organized warehouse.

Maintains organized inventory and workspace.

Effectively communicates goals, expectations, areas for improvement and successes to Operations.

Completes all required continuous learning training, including safety, compliance, and job-specific requirements.

Responsible for other duties as assigned or developed.
Desired Minimum Qualifications:

Working knowledge of Netsuite by Oracle, FedEx, UPS WorldShip are a plus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office products and general computer skills.

Demonstrates ability to use independent judgment in determining how to approach and solve problems.

Effective interpersonal abilities and oral and written communication skills.

Ability to operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts & reach truck.

Must be flexible, adaptable and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
Education/Experience/Certifications:

High school diploma or GED required.

1+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.

Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
