Job Title: HVAC Master
Reports to: General Manager
Summary/Objective:
The HVAC Master is responsible for providing technical support to field technicians, assisting in HVAC design for customers and offering recommendations based on latest HVAC technologies.
Essential Functions:
- Technical support for hvac/r field technicians on residential, commercial and refrigeration service / repairs
- Able to assist field technicians in diagnosing / solving hvac/r problems
- Ability to design residential and commercial customers, including proper duct sizing, proper air flow distribution and high efficient equipment
- Familiarity with city codes and ordinances to ensure hvac systems are installed properly, also able to ensure best practices are applied
- Provide support to sales department regarding different equipment options, high efficiency systems, zoning, communicating vs non-communicating systems while also able to assist in walk throughs / pre-bid meetings to support sales team
- Knowledgeable in HVAC controls (residential and commercial)
- Maintain dialogue with vendors regarding latest equipment / technologies coming out
- Ability to interpret plans & specifications, and work with service & sales team to offer best solutions to customers
- Maintain an active understanding of market conditions and provide management with suggestions on ways to improve bid submissions
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years experience in HVAC/R including in design, installation, service and repair of residential HVAC systems
- Commercial / Refrigeration HVAC experience preferred
- Class A HVAC Contractors License required
- NATE certification (a Plus)
- Capable of reading and interpreting schematics, plans, specifications
- Ability to work independently and without close supervision
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic understanding in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving skills
- Passionate about the HVAC industry including staying abreast latest technologies
- Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
Work Environment:
- Works in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment
- Position may require visits to client sites
Pay:
- $75,000 - $125,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
