Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated RV Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, with a focus on recreational vehicles. We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual who would be able to diagnose, inspect, adjust, repair, or overhaul units including travel trailers, fifth wheels and motor homes to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Competitive Wages:
Primarily a 5-day work week $40,000-$80,000 annually including a performance-based pay hybrid plan. An Hourly base pay with a billed hour incentive
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Installation, repair, and maintenance of various accessories and components on all types for RVs. (Exterior ex: roofs, siding, windows, doors, vents, awnings. Interior ex: floor coverings, cabinets, counters, plumbing systems, electrical systems, propane gas systems, batteries, generators and charging systems)
- Repair and maintenance on appliances such as furnaces, refrigerators, water heaters, ranges, and air conditioners
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials
- Inspect and replace damaged framework, or other structures and fixtures
- Maintaining and repairing trailer frames, undercarriages, and suspension
Skills
- Mechanical, electrical and electronics aptitude; troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
- Willingness to work towards becoming a RVIA Certified Tech, if not already
- Experience with auto body repair is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
- Reliable and strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills for effective customer interaction and sales support.
- Competence in using various power tools required for repairs and maintenance tasks
Physical Requirements:
- Must have good general health and physical ability.
- Required to stand for up to 8 hours per shift
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds frequently.
- Bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching above shoulder level. Pushing and pulling are required on a constant basis.
- Must be able to maneuver in tight spaces, climb stairs, and use hands for grasping and fine manipulation.
- Must be willing to work in adverse weather conditions, i.e. work is 50% outside, 50% inside so you will be subject to Heat/Cold, Sun/Wind.
