This position is part‑time and flexible (15–20 hours per week). You must be available 3 weekdays during standard business hours. Our ideal candidate is passionate, personable, reliable, trustworthy, and comfortable representing our agency throughout the community.
Role Overview
As our liaison with the community, you will build and maintain relationships with referral partners across a variety of settings, including:
- Independent living communities
- Assisted living facilities
- Rehabilitation centers
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Doctor’s offices
- Dialysis centers
- Community centers
- Senior committees and local organizations
Your goal is to educate professionals and families about our services and strengthen our presence throughout West Essex and Morris County.
Key Responsibilities
- Be open‑minded, creative, and willing to try different outreach strategies
- Build and maintain relationships with social workers, discharge planners, nurses, and other referral partners
- Stay organized, document outreach daily, and follow up consistently
- Represent Home Helpers professionally with excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Promptly communicate all client and employee leads to the office for seamless follow‑up
- Drive to/from referral sources within our service area:
- Fairfield, Caldwells, West Orange, Cedar Knolls, Parsippany, Hanovers, Florham Park, Whippany, Roseland, Montville/Pine Brook, Morris Plains
- Enjoy calling, emailing, and visiting hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, discharge planners, and case managers to promote our home care services
- Participate in community events, networking events, and health fairs
- Adapt to organizational needs and support special projects as assigned
- Maintain a high level of customer service with responsiveness and solution‑focused communicationRequirements
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license (required)
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Organized, self‑motivated, and comfortable working independently
- Professional, friendly, and confident representing our brand
