Commercial Drywall Project Manager (Estimating Experience Preferred)

We are a growing commercial drywall and acoustical contractor that has proudly served Texas for over 70 years. With a long-standing reputation for quality, integrity, and performance, we specialize in commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, insulation, and specialty ceiling systems on projects ranging from schools and healthcare facilities to offices, retail developments, warehouses, and large-scale commercial construction.
Our Central Texas office is located in Buda, Texas, and supports projects throughout Austin, San Antonio, and the surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
· Manage commercial drywall projects from project turnover through closeout.
· Coordinate with general contractors, architects, engineers, suppliers, and field personnel throughout each phase of construction.
· Prepare, review, and track submittals to ensure timely approvals.
· Prepare drawings, Procore, SDS, and job notebooks for field use.
· Prepare, price, and track change orders.
· Procure materials and coordinate deliveries to support project schedules.
· Monitor project budgets, labor productivity and job profitability.
· Maintain project schedules and identify potential issues before they impact the project.
· Attend preconstruction meetings, project meetings, and jobsite coordination meetings.
· Work closely with superintendents to support field operations and ensure successful project execution.
· Prepare project closeout documentation.
· Assist the estimating department with quantity takeoffs, budgeting, bid reviews, and pricing as workload requires.
Qualifications
· Minimum 3 years of experience managing commercial drywall and acoustical construction projects.
· Strong understanding of metal stud framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, insulation, and specialty ceiling systems.
· Experience managing submittals, RFIs, change orders, procurement, and project documentation.
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
· Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with On-Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid.
· Established relationships with general contractors, architects, and suppliers in the Central Texas market.
