American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a Level I Trauma Center travel assignment in Oregon, requiring active OR licensure, Epic proficiency, and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience.

Emergency Department (ED) setting at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center and academic teaching hospital with 549 staffed beds
-
Patient population includes trauma, acute stroke, STEMI, psychological emergencies, sepsis, and patients with complex medical or substance use histories

Patient ratio of 1:3-4

Procedures performed in the ED include moderate and deep sedation, ultrasound, intubation, cardioversion, D&C, sexual assault exams, CPR, and imminent deliveries

Charting via Epic (experience required)

3x12-hour night shifts with available start times of 0700, 0900, 1100, 1300, and 1500
-
Weekend shifts required
-
Floating within the hospital is required; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation

No on-call requirements

Block scheduling is not available for this position

Active Oregon (OR) RN license required; pending licensure accepted if application has been submitted to and received by the licensing board

Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience required

Prior travel nursing experience required (at least 1 year); first-time travelers are not eligible

Epic EMR experience required

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS

TNCC certification preferred

Trauma experience required

COVID vaccination required; no exemptions

Two manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months required (Charge RN references are not acceptable)

Responsible for assessing patient needs, planning and coordinating interventions, consultations, procedures, and treatments in the ED

Scrubs are provided; no printed scrub patterns permitted

Local candidates are accepted for this position

Candidates who are former employees or previous travelers at this facility must have been away for at least 6 months before returning in a travel capacity

RTO requests must be submitted upfront and are limited to 1 week maximum
-
13-week minimum contract length; candidates interested in a longer assignment should indicate their preference
