We are looking for a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting technical blueprints, programming computer numerical controlled machinery, and adjusting the machines to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of machining processes. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and a strong background in using Mastercam software.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine.
2. Read and interpret technical blueprints to understand the specifications and requirements of the product.
3. Maintain quality and safety standards by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
4. Program the CNC machine using Mastercam software, adjusting the machine to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut.
5. Plan the sequence of operations, input the necessary parameters, and run the CNC machine.
6. Monitor the operations of the CNC machine, making necessary adjustments to ensure the product meets the required specifications.
7. Perform routine maintenance checks on CNC machines to ensure their functionality and longevity.
8. Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to troubleshoot any issues and improve the efficiency of the manufacturing process.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proficient in programming using Mastercam software.
3. Excellent blueprint reading skills to understand the specifications and requirements of the product.
4. Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
5. Knowledge of the properties of metal and other materials used in the manufacturing process.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with the engineering and production teams.
8. Strong understanding of machining processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of high-quality goods.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. A degree in a related field is preferred, but not required.
