EDUCATION: DDS or DMD (or international equivalent). Completion of an ADA-accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency.
LICENSES: Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS), or board eligible with certification achieved within the required institutional timeframe. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification. Eligible for unrestricted Tennessee dental licensure or Tennessee teaching license. Hospital credentialing eligibility. Eligibility for moderate/deep sedation permits consistent with Tennessee regulations.
DEPARTMENTAL PREFERENCES:
Experience supervising dental students and residents in an academic environment preferred. Experience in dentoalveolar surgery, ambulatory anesthesia, implant surgery, and management of medically complex patients. Experience in Level 1 trauma center facial trauma management preferred. Strong interpersonal and teaching skills. Commitment to interprofessional education and patient-centered care.
