Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Truck Driver with Class A license to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Your expertise in driving and delivering freight across designated routes will ensure timely, efficient, and secure transportation of goods. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions across diverse routes and terrains.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Deliver goods to various locations, adhering to scheduled routes and delivery timelines.
- Handle different types of cargo including refrigerated items, flatbed loads, tankers, and freight requiring special handling.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid Class A Commercial driver’s license.
- Familiarity with operating, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures including load & unload processes.
- Ability to navigate route driving efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Experience with forklift operation for loading/unloading cargo when required.
