Kitchen staff includes Dishwashers, Line Cooks, Prep Cooks and Sushi Maker. Often working out of the guest’s view, these people often don’t get the recognition they deserve. They are vital to the restaurant’s success. They are the heart of the operation and often work under great pressure. Primary responsibilities include:
- The quality preparation of food items
- Maintaining a clean and organized work space
- Achieving rigid standards for timing, quality, presentation, and cost
- Be fast, efficient, and safe at all times
The effective operation of the kitchen is the lifeblood of Wind Group Inc. There should be significant levels of cooperation between all FOH and the BOH staff.
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or relevant position
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Certificate in culinary arts or related field is a plus
