Overview
Part time and Full time Preschool and Infant Teachers needed in a small private child care center in Trumbull CT. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves supporting a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive, learn, and develop essential skills for their future. The teacher will be responsible for supporting the co- teacher in all aspects of the curriculum. Candidate must have great communication skills and works well with others.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with co-teachers to support positive interactions with teachers, children and families
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Support children's progress in various developmental areas, including social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and appropriate discipline techniques.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the educational experience of all students.
- Implement physical education activities that promote health, fitness, and teamwork among preschoolers.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space that reflects the children's work and learning experiences.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Child Development Associate Degree
- Experience working with young children in daycare or preschool settings is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and effective classroom management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A patient, nurturing demeanor with a passion for teaching and fostering children's growth.
