Job Summary
Come join our team at the TA Travel Center in Dale, IN. We are looking for flexible PT cashiers for varying shifts. Approximate hours per week are 20-30 hours/week.
Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the store, including aisles, restrooms, showers, and entryways.
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide excellent customer service to enhance their shopping experience.
- Stock shelves and ensure that products are displayed attractively and are readily available for customers.
- Utilize POS systems to assist with sales transactions as needed.
- Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote new items.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that arise.
- Supervise the work of other staff members during busy periods to maintain efficiency.
- Upsell products by highlighting promotions and special offers to customers.
- Perform basic math calculations for inventory management and stock assessments.
Experience
- Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, along with basic math skills for handling transactions and stock management.
