**Overview: **
We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and possess strong interpersonal skills to handle various communication channels. **Responsibilities: **
- Serve as the primary contact for certain patient inquiries via phone and email.
- Will be the primary point of contact for one of our Orthotist/Prosthetist here in office and assist them as needed.
- Insurance verifications
- Answer and direct phone calls promptly
- Conduct outbound calling for follow up on information from physician offices
- Submitting authorizations
- Requesting prescriptions and documentation from Physicians and Therapists
- Schedule patient appointments and manage calendars for practitioners
- Provide exceptional patient support by promptly addressing questions, resolving any concerns.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless communication and service continuity.
**Requirements: **
- Proven experience in a medical office setting
- Proficiency in computerized systems and software applications
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Insurance verification experience
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask
- Familiarity with medical terminology a plus
- Self-motivated
- Positive attitude, friendly
- Demonstrates regular attendance and punctuality
