We are seeking an experienced and passionate Instructional Coach / CLASS Coordinator to support classroom quality across our program. This position is primarily classroom-based and focused on helping teachers grow through modeling, coaching, support, and training.
Position Summary
The Instructional Coach / CLASS Coordinator works directly with teachers in classrooms to improve:
- Teacher-child interactions
- Classroom management
- Emotional support
- Curriculum implementation
- Staff confidence and consistency
- Overall classroom quality
This is NOT primarily an office position. The ideal candidate enjoys being on the floor, mentoring teachers, and actively supporting classrooms throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom observations and coaching cycles
- Support implementation of CLASS 2nd Edition practices
- Model effective teaching strategies and classroom management
- Coach teachers on interactions, transitions, and engagement
- Assist with onboarding and training new staff
- Support curriculum implementation and classroom organization
- Help maintain positive classroom environments
- Assist with behavior support strategies
- Collaborate with leadership team on quality improvement goals
- Provide encouragement, accountability, and real-time support to teachers
- Help maintain licensing and accreditation standards
- Step into classrooms as needed for support and ratio coverage during emergencies
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have:
- Experience in preschool or early childhood education
- Strong classroom management skills
- Leadership or coaching experience
- Knowledge of CLASS 2nd Edition preferred
- CLASS Certified Observer certification preferred or able to achieve
- CDA, FCCPC, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Ability to mentor and communicate professionally with staff
- Positive, supportive, and solution-oriented attitude
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced preschool environment

Pay
(Based on experience, leadership ability, and classroom coaching skills)
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 8am-5pm
- Day shift 8 hours
