Key Qualifications:
- Valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare OT settings
- Ability to work effectively with students from kindergarten through high school
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to maintaining documentation and progress tracking per school guidelines
- Adaptability and a collaborative mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions as outlined in students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support students in developing essential fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills
- Work in tandem with occupational therapists, teachers, and support staff to create engaging, effective treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and timely records of sessions, progress, and communications
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that supports student learning and independence
