Summary
The primary responsibility of the Box Truck Driver is to make pick-ups/deliveries to/from local suppliers and to make transfers between KWP locations. The position is also expected to maintain vehicle cleanliness and schedule regular maintenance and repairs coordinating with the Maintenance Manager. This position requires some flexibility of schedule. This position is supervised by the Plant Manager.
Essential Functions

1. Operate a box truck safely, professionally, and in accordance with all applicable laws.
2. Maintain a valid Indiana Operators, Endorsement 2 license, DOT physical and a motor vehicle record free of violations, including speeding, reckless driving, or operating under the influence of drug or alcohol.
3. Make pick-ups/deliveries to/from local suppliers and to make transfers between KWP locations including Kountry Cabinets.
4. Manage driving routes in an efficient manner.
5. Effectively adapt to changing circumstances while in route.
6. Have the ability to complete basic roadside repairs such as changing tires, adding motor fluids, changing windshield wipers, etc.
7. Load/unload box trucks using a pallet jack. May occasionally require the lifting of heavy items.
8. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and coordinate routine maintenance and repairs of vehicle with the Maintenance Manager.
9. Respond to calls for duty in a timely fashion. Punctuality and excellent attendance are critical.
10. Maintain accurate driver logs and all other required DOT documentation.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position primarily operates on public roads and highways. Duties may occur during non-daylight hours. Exposure to seasonal temperatures, wind and precipitation may occur. Icy and uneven driving conditions and walking surfaces may be encountered.
The position will occasionally operate within the company manufacturing or office environment. The use of standard office equipment including phones and photocopiers may be required. The use of basic tools such as air tools, vacuum cleaners and cleaning chemicals may also be required.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
The employee is regularly required to operate a motor vehicle which includes sitting, talking, visual alertness, and hearing. Employee is expected to report for duty free from the influences of alcohol and may be required to submit to random breath alcohol tests. Employee is expected to follow the company Driver Cell Phone Policy pertaining to hands-free cell phone use while operating a motor vehicle.
Regular physical tasks may require the ability to operate basic hand, power and air tools, bend over, reach, twist, lift heavy objects, use a pallet jack, drive a forklift, and stand on a ladder as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Overtime may be required. Scheduled hours may be variable week-to-week with hours occurring outside of normal business hours.
Travel
This position requires local travel which can exceed 120 miles per day. Occasional long-distance travel as needed.
