Job Summary
A well-established organization is seeking an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst to lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and analytical functions across the organization. This role will partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to provide actionable financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and improve financial performance.
The ideal candidate will have strong financial modeling experience, advanced analytical skills, and experience working within complex funding structures, preferably within a non-profit or grant-funded environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models and reporting tools
- Prepare executive-level financial reports, dashboards, and presentations
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to leadership
- Support grant and fund management analysis, including tracking multi-source funding
- Collaborate with department leaders on budget management and financial planning
- Monitor key financial metrics and organizational performance indicators
- Identify opportunities for financial process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Assist with strategic initiatives and long-term financial planning
- Work cross-functionally to improve reporting accuracy and financial transparency
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
Experience
- 5+ years of financial planning and analysis experience
- Minimum 2 years in a senior-level or leadership FP&A role preferred
- Experience with complex financial structures, grants, donations, and multi-source funding strongly preferred
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis
- Experience preparing executive summaries and board-level financial presentations
Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including financial modeling, pivot tables, and advanced formulas
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of GAAP and fund accounting principles
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders
