Schedule Details/Additional Information:
- This role covers two hospital sites Condell Medical Center and Good Shepherd Hospital- 801 S Milwaukee Ave, Libertyville, IL 60048 & 450 W Highway 22, Barrington, IL 60010
- Hybrid position: 2-3 days a week in office and the rest from home.
How You’ll Contribute:
- Lead day-to-day Medical Staff Services operations, including credentialing, peer review, meeting management, and provider relations.
- Oversee appointment, reappointment, credentialing, and privileging processes to ensure compliance with bylaws, policies, and regulatory standards.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on credentialing, privileging, medical staff bylaws, and governance requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain medical staff policies, procedures, workflows, forms, and standards of practice.
- Support Medical Staff professionalism initiatives, including wellness, corrective action, and fair hearing processes.
- Prepare and present credentialing, privileging, and compliance reports to medical staff leadership, governing councils, and boards.
- Manage department staff and operations, including hiring, performance management, coaching, workforce planning, and ensuring adherence to ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements.
What We Are Looking For:
- Credentialing Specialist, Certified Provider (CPCS) issued by the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS), or
- Medical Services Management, Certified Professional (CPMSM) issued by the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS).
- If not certified, expectation is to certify within 3 years of employment depending on medical staff services experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration or related field.
- Typically requires 3 years of experience in medical staff services, credentialing, physician relations, regulatory, with experience as a lead or senior level staff.

Pay: $30.70 - $46.05 per hour
