GENERAL SUMMARY
The Production Assistant – Cold Brew role is an entry-level position designed to support daily cold brew production, packaging, and cellar operations. This role focuses on learning the fundamentals of cold brew production while assisting with preparation, cleaning, and packaging tasks. The Cellar Person works closely with supervisors and team members to ensure all safety, sanitation, and quality standards are consistently met, and that finished product is properly prepared and packaged for distribution.
Expected hours are generally full-shift production hours but may vary based on production schedules and business needs.
GOALS FOR THE ROLE
- Learn the basics of large-scale cold brew production and packaging
- Assist with preparation, cleanup, and sanitation of equipment and workspace
- Follow all safety, food safety, and quality control standards
- Support supervisors to ensure product is packaged accurately and consistently
- Build a strong foundation for growth within the Cold Brew production team
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Production & Brewing Support
- Assist with cold brew preparation according to established SOPs
- Support brew setup, breakdown, and cleaning of cold brew equipment
- Learn proper handling of coffee, water, and finished product
Packaging & Fulfillment
- Assist with packaging cold brew into kegs, bag-in-box, or other formats as scheduled
- Ensure correct labeling, dating, and packaging procedures are followed
- Work with supervisors to verify finished product meets quality standards
Cellar & Sanitation Work
- Assist with cleaning and sanitizing tanks, vessels, hoses, and tools (CIP support)
- Follow all sanitation and safety procedures for cellar and production spaces
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
General Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks per cleaning schedules and SOPs
- Communicate equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality observations to supervisors
- Assist other production departments as scheduled or as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

- No prior cold brew or brewing experience required; training provided
- Interest in food and beverage production, coffee, or manufacturing environments
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures
- Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and quality
- Willingness to learn new processes and take direction from supervisors
- Ability to work reliably as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Basic time management skills and punctuality
