Cashier MUST SPEAK SPANISH
Position Summary
La Mayordomia #2 is seeking Spanish-speaking cashiers with 2–3 years of experience, a friendly attitude, responsibility, and a strong customer service orientation. The ideal candidate will provide fast, courteous, and efficient service to our customers, accurately process transactions, and help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment. This position requires the ability to communicate in Spanish and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with friendliness, respect, and professionalism.
- Accurately process customer purchases using the NCC POS system.
- Handle cash, credit cards, debit cards, and EBT transactions accurately.
- Bag customer purchases when necessary.
- Maintain a balanced cash register and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Keep the checkout area clean and organized.
- Answer customer questions and direct them to the appropriate department when needed.
- Assist with stocking, organizing, and front-facing merchandise near the checkout area as needed.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, customer service, and safety.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to maintain efficient store operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of **1 year of experience** as a cashier or in customer service, preferably in supermarkets, grocery stores, butcher shops, or food retail establishments.
- Ability to speak Spanish and communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle situations courteously and professionally.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and handle money accurately.
- Strong attention to detail, honesty, and dependability.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules based on business needs.
- Ability to lift up to **20 pounds (9 kg)** and stand for extended periods of time.
