School of Rock is now hiring qualified, enthusiastic music teachers for our location in Hinsdale!
School of Rock is a performance based music school where children take both private lessons as well as group band rehearsals in order to prepare for playing real rock shows at some of the city's top venues (Schubas, Lincoln Hall, Double Door, etc.)

THE GIG:
6-30 hours per week (Part Time)
Music instructors are compensated with an hourly wage.
Instructors work a fixed schedule (which is to say, the same days and hours each week)
REPORTS TO: General Manager
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Teaching experience is preferred, but not required.
Demonstrated knowledge of applied music concepts, basic music theory, and well versed with live performance techniques.
Ability to inspire many unique student types to create motivated musicians and a culture of hard work throughout the school.
Outgoing and friendly demeanor helping to be part of the warm and welcoming culture of our schools. Applicants should be comfortable meeting and interacting with parents, students, and other employees especially during their first few interactions.
