Job Summary:
Vantage Medical Associates is seeking a dependable and experienced Per Diem Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to support our high-performing imaging team. This role provides coverage for scheduled outpatient procedures. Flexibility is essential, as coverage needs may vary day to day. Key Responsibilities:
- Scrub during IR procedures with IR physician, maintaining sterile technique
- Assist physicians in performing a wide range of minimally invasive, image-guided procedures.
- Operate and maintain C-arm and ultrasound, as needed.
- Prepare procedure rooms, maintain sterile technique, and support patient positioning and comfort.
- Ensure accurate documentation of procedures, equipment use, and supply inventory.
- Maintain compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Certification: ARRT (R) required; ARRT (VI) preferred or must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- Licensure: Valid state license as required.
- Experience: At least 2 years of radiology experience required; prior IR or cath lab experience required.
- Certifications: Current BLS required; ACLS preferred.
