Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, suspension, brakes, steering, and electrical components.
- Service and maintain vehicles through oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements, and other routine maintenance tasks.
- Repair or replace critical components such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, powertrain parts, and auto body elements as needed.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to disassemble, repair, or replace parts with precision.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to ensure proper repair procedures are followed for complex systems like diesel engines and automotive electrical systems.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to safety standards at all times.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific procedures.
- Knowledge of ADAS calibration, auto estimating software, welding techniques, and GM vehicle systems is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, brake repair, wheel alignment, suspension work (including shocks & struts), tire service, and auto body repair.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics using modern scan tools and understanding of schematics for electrical troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge across powertrain components including transmissions and engine systems.
- Familiarity with maintenance tasks such as oil changes, vehicle inspections, and general automotive service routines.
- Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to work efficiently with hand tools and power tools in a team environment.
