Responsibilities for Home Health Aide

Perform personal care activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, and using the bathroom

Provide patients with mobility assistance

Follow assignments and guidelines set by RNs, and/or LPN's

Prepare and submit all documentation by established deadlines in conjunction with policies and procedures

Report unusual behavior and any other pertinent patient information to supervisor

Show flexibility in responding to the needs of the patient
Qualifications for Home Health Aide

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

Must be at least 18 years of age

Home Health Aide certification

Minimum of 6 months of work experience, preferably in home care, a skilled nursing facility, or hospital setting

Possess and maintain current CPR certification
-
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Strong reading, writing, and speaking skills (in English)

Comfortable with little supervision
