Merritt Paul Land Surveying is looking for an experienced traveling Survey Crew Chief. This position will require travel to solar sites around the country, mostly the southern and eastern states. Merritt Paul specializes in solar site installation, solar battery installation, airport construction staking, and rail surveys.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the crew members to deliver quality and timely work product
- Able to perform all the duties of a Field Survey Tech
- Meet with client or client representative for site-specific requirements
- Perform and manage ALTA, topographic, boundary, construction stakeouts, horizontal / vertical control, utility as-builts and GPS.
Qualifications:
- Must be competent leading a field survey crew for boundary, control, route, topographic and existing conditions surveys, construction stakeout, and as-built surveys.
- Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Jr. Party Chief with a minimum of 5 years of experience under the supervision of a licensed surveyor.
- Maintain Valid Driver’s License.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
