Summary: The Facilities / Janitorial Assistant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations and safety of company facilities. This role ensures the workplace remains functional, safe, and efficient by coordinating vendors, managing service requests, and maintaining building systems.

Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, offices, and other common areas on a regular schedule
Ensure all facilities are stocked with necessary supplies (paper products, soap, sanitizer, etc.)
Stock and maintain food, snacks, beverages, utensils, and other break room supplies.
Perform routine janitorial duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and surface disinfection
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines in a manufacturing environment
Maintain cleanliness standards in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
Monitor and report maintenance or repair needs to the Facilities team
Regularly check inventory of break room and cleaning supplies (coffee, snacks, paper products, cleaning solutions, etc.), restock as needed, and notify the appropriate person when items are running low and need to be reordered.
Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment
Mounting and hanging shelves and TV's exc.
Changing Light bulbs and batteries
Putting together office furniture
Partner with People Operations, Facilities and leadership to address facility needs and improve the employee workplace experience.
Support waste management and recycling initiatives in alignment with sustainability goals
Respond promptly to spills, hazards, or urgent cleaning needs
Collaborate with team members and other departments to maintain a clean and organized workplace
Utilize workplace communication tools, including email, Slack, and other internal platforms, to communicate with employees, respond to requests, coordinate tasks, and provide timely updates
Take on special projects and other responsibilities as needed to support the organization and its facilities.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to cleanliness and hygiene
Reliable and self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Takes pride in creating a clean and welcoming space for others
Understands the importance of sanitation in a food production setting
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Able to follow procedures and safety guidelines consistently
2+ years of experience in facilities, property management, or manufacturing support.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication abilities.
Tech-savvy and proficient in email, Slack, and other workplace communication tools.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required.
Ability to travel between company locations.
Reliable transportation and ability to safely operate a personal vehicle for business purposes.
Must be comfortable with local travel as part of the day-to-day responsibilities of the role.
Mileage will be reimbursed for approved business-related travel in accordance with company policy.
Preferred Skils:
Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
OSHA or safety training certifications.
Fluent in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
In accordance with Minnesota's Pay Transparency Law (effective January 1, 2025), the salary range for this position is $23/hr - $26/hr.

This position requires regular travel between company locations and other business-related destinations. The Facilities Coordinator must maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Approved business mileage will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.
