About Minnesota Computers LLC
Minnesota Computers LLC (MNC) is a certified IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) company based in Eagan, MN. Holding R2v3, RIOS, NAID AAA, and NIST SP 800-88 certifications, MNC helps businesses across the country securely retire and recycle their end-of-life IT equipment. We receive large shipments of enterprise hardware — servers, laptops, networking gear, and more — process and audit it to strict compliance standards, and ensure it's either remarketed, refurbished, or responsibly recycled.
Our warehouse team is the starting point for everything. If you want a stable, full-time role with a growing company doing meaningful work, this is a great place to build your career.
Position Overview
The Warehouse Associate – Shipping & Receiving is a physically active, full-time role responsible for keeping MNC's inbound and outbound freight operations running smoothly. You'll be the first hands on incoming shipments — unloading trucks, checking in deliveries, organizing the warehouse floor, and staging pallets for the auditing and testing team. You'll also support outbound operations by helping prep and load finished orders for shipment.
This role is a strong fit for someone with a warehouse or logistics background who is dependable, physically capable, and able to stay organized in a busy, fast-paced environment. No IT knowledge is required, though you will become familiar with common enterprise IT equipment over time and may occasionally assist with basic hardware tasks like opening server chassis.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound Receiving
- Unload inbound freight deliveries from carrier trucks using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment
- Verify inbound shipments against carrier documentation (BOL, packing lists) and flag any discrepancies to the operations team
- Receive, label, and organize inbound pallets and equipment in designated staging areas of the warehouse
- Coordinate with the MNC operations team to prioritize inbound equipment for the auditing and testing workflow
- Safely handle inbound IT equipment including servers, desktop towers, laptops, and networking hardware — some items are large, fragile, or heavy
Internal Logistics & Floor Movement
- Transport pallets and equipment from receiving/staging areas to the testing and auditing team as directed
- Return processed pallets and equipment from the testing facility back to their designated warehouse storage locations
- Assist with organizing and maintaining an orderly warehouse floor — clear aisles, proper pallet stacking, and accurate bin/zone labeling
- Support the operations team by opening server chassis and large equipment enclosures as requested to facilitate testing
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and carts safely and in accordance with facility safety standards
Outbound Shipping Support
- Assist the shipping team with preparing outbound orders including boxing, wrapping, labeling, and palletizing equipment for shipment
- Help load outbound freight onto trucks and verify outbound shipment documentation
- Maintain outbound staging areas in an organized, clearly labeled state
Facility & Safety
- Keep all warehouse areas clean, organized, and free of hazards throughout the shift
- Follow all MNC safety protocols including proper lifting techniques, PPE usage, and equipment handling procedures
- Report damaged equipment, safety concerns, or facility issues to the warehouse supervisor promptly
- Participate in inventory counts, facility audits, and other operational tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- Prior warehouse, shipping/receiving, or distribution center experience strongly preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and sustain physical activity (lifting, bending, standing, walking) throughout a full shift
- Ability to safely operate a pallet jack — experience with powered pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus
- Dependable, punctual, and consistent — this team counts on everyone showing up and working hard
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and work within established procedures
- Basic math and counting skills for verifying shipment quantities
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred (Not Required)
- Forklift certification or experience operating sit-down or reach-style forklifts
- Experience in electronics, IT asset, or e-commerce fulfillment warehouse environments
- Familiarity with BOL (Bill of Lading) and basic freight documentation
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or basic inventory software
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding role. You will be on your feet for the majority of your shift, regularly lifting and moving equipment up to 50 lbs or more with team assistance and mechanical aids. The warehouse environment can be dusty and may have varying temperatures depending on season. Steel-toed shoes are required; MNC provides all necessary PPE.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience — discussed during the interview process
- Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule with consistent day-shift hours
- Stable, growing company with a strong compliance and operational track record
- On-the-job training — no prior ITAD or electronics experience needed
- Opportunity to grow into warehouse lead, logistics coordinator, or cross-train into the auditing/testing team
- Work with purpose: MNC keeps millions of pounds of electronic equipment out of landfills every year
